Ecotourism in Greece

We are a group of young, educated people who decided to return to their ancestral villages in order to help preserve traditions, customs, architecture, and the natural landscape. Environmental education and sustainable tourism are the means that we use to keep our villages alive. Working with small groups of people, we manage to bring our visitors in contact with the local people, the cycle of seasons, harvest, traditional music and festivities. In the same time, we organize daily tourist and trekking excursions to explore the area’s rich variety of historical and natural landscapes.
Based in a restored 130 year old tower-house, inside the mountain resort village of Zarouchla, Greece, on an altitude of 1020 meters above sea level, we are located in the center of an area of  great natural interest. The whole area of Zarouchla village lies within the boundaries of the Natural Park of Chelmos- Vouraikos[1], which belongs to the European Geoparks network. Due to the variety of the landscape, within half an hour’s driving distance from your lodging, you can be either skiing on the mountain or swimming in the sea, depending on the season, of course!
You can chose either the accommodation part only, a full included program as described below.
Our prices are low for certain reasons: We believe in fair-trade, we don’t employ any mediators and we own the house of your accommodation.
